JOURNAL

Sorry for the lack of updates folks. Our lives have been super busy outside of the band since we returned from tour in August. Brad has been working his way through EMT and Paramedic school, Pooky has started work on his MBA in History, Dan has multiple music projects going on including The Jungle Fire and The Chill Dawgs and Gabe has been hard at work in his home studio recording what seems like every band in St. Louis.
We’ve recently gotten back to focusing on all things The D. We have a couple really rad shows coming up. New Years Eve we’ll be playing our favorite room in St. Louis with some of our favorite dudes in St. Louis, sharing the stage with Fister, Machree and the immortal Not Waving But Drowning. On Jan 21 we’ll be teaming up with just about every band in town for the Matt Grayson (STL/LA photog) benefit show. Matt recently was in a horrible motorcycle accident, and the show is to help with his medical bills.
We’ve also started writing again. This time, working on something really special for you. We are confident that this will be our best and most creative work to date. Soon we’ll be recording most of the many covers you’ve seen us playing the last few years for a FREE cover record.
Look for some tour dates this winter. Things are starting to come up “D” around here. We can’t wait To bring it all to you.
Happy holidays from The D!

Welcome to the new and improved THEDISAPPEAREDSTL.COM. Big thanks to Tim Scheman at Let Tim Design It Studios for the hard work he put on this thing. We’re going to try our best to keep this thing updated and synced with all of our other media pages as often as possible.
Lots of things have happened around here since we last spoke. Our first full length “BRIDGES” is now in stores and online just about everywhere. We just finished our first tour of the East Coast to promote it. Look for us to be hitting up more Midwest cities in the coming months.
We’ve got a ton of new merch as well that we’ll be throwing up soon. Including a killer new shirt designed by our homie Andy Binder of Sink The Bismark (just released their new 7″ on IHPR btw).
Only a couple shows lined up this fall. Sept 23 at The Heavy Anchor, we may or may not be playing some surprise songs for a certain member of The Haddonfield’s birthday. And Oct 26 at my old DJ’ing hole, Urban Lounge with our buds Better Days and Young Turks (ex-Broadway Calls). After that, we will more than likely begin writing again, as we can’t sit on the same songs for all that long. One of those to be on a special Record Store Day release from IHPR.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for all of the kinds word about BRIDGES so far!

First off, don’t forget to pick up this month’s copy of Alternative Press. We’ve been chosen as one of the top 100 Bands to Watch in 2010. Nice little interview. Help make this our year!
Couple rad shows going down this weekend. Friday we’re in Belleville,IL at ITR with our homies The Haddonfields and Like Bats and Trenchfoot. Saturday we’re playing a rad house show at Tim from Black For A Second’s house. Rocking with those dudes, Direct Hit and The Wifflers. Should be a rager!
I just got done screening the first run of jackets for our new 7 inches ‘Nothing.Someone.Something” last night. These should finally be available next week. So excited about the way these came out. Head over the www.ihatepunkrock.net, check out the new site and pick one up. While your at it, pick up a copy of our 12 inch “The Radical Miracle”. There aren’t many copies of that left.
Just confirmed is the record release show for our boys Everything Went Black’s new EP “Altars and Arsonists”. This show is going to be so sick, I can’t even believe it. Along with EWB, we’ll be playing with the one and only Defeater, Former Thieves and Canyons. March 23rd at the Fubar Lounge. DO NOT miss this show!
Thanks everyone for coming out to the Worn In Red show last week and making St. Louis look like a place bands should want to come play. Those dudes are our new friends in rock, and are amazing.
Hope to see you kids this weekend.
And if you aren’t listening to Memorial yet, what the hell is wrong with you?

3.5/5 Stars
“The follow-up to last year’s THE RADICAL MIRACLE finds this former AP&R band continuing down their fast and furious post-hardcore path, only this time they’ve picked up the pace even more, with four songs in nine minutes (two of which don’t even crack the two-minute barrier). Unfortunately, the uptick in speed results in slightly less memorable songs, although, “The Ballad Of Nat King Cole,” weighing in at a thick 3:36, is the EP’s obvious standout, sounding like late-era Boy Sets Fire meets mid-period Seaweed.

We just recieved word that we are going to be featured in the Alternative Press special edition “100 Bands to Know in 2010″. Super stoked and honored to be chosen to be a part of this. The issue will hit shelves on March 2. Keep and eye out.
We’ve also just received word that our latest EP “Nothing+Someone=Something” is going to be getting the vinyl treatment. Not sure on a release date yet, but the masters will be shipped out next week. So be on the lookout for a release date of sometime in early March.
We’re excited. Are you?
